I wonder whether anyone has considered a blue plaque nomination for 30 Downshire Hill, Hampstead, where Finzi lived immediately after his marriage (Diana McVeagh, Chapter 4). On a recent trip to London, I noticed plaques for several — in my view lesser — composers.

Definitely. I am amazed that there isn’t a plaque already. His beautiful and distinctive work is so much a part of uniqueness of the genre of English Classical Music. John Rees-Simkins.
